Terms of Service

Using the service

SizeItDown lets you compress images and videos to a target file size in your browser, with no account required. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We keep a short, metadata-only audit log of requests (see our Privacy Policy) that we may use to identify and block IP addresses or activity that violates these terms.

Your content

You retain all ownership rights to the images and videos you upload. We claim no ownership over your content and only process it transiently to generate the compressed result — we don't store it, view it, or use it for any other purpose. You are solely responsible for having the right to upload and process any content you submit.

Copyright complaints

Because files are processed transiently and not retained, we are not in a position to remove content after the fact — a compression job typically completes and its files are deleted within minutes. If you believe this service was used to infringe your copyright, contact [email protected] and we will investigate, including blocking the responsible IP address where appropriate.

Suspension

We may block or rate-limit any IP address or activity that we reasonably believe violates these terms, without notice.

No warranty

This service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Image compression targets are algorithmic and best-effort; video compression in particular may land close to, rather than exactly at, your requested target size. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service, including loss of data or files.

Changes

We may update these terms or the service itself at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
